    1. Credit/Debit or online payments accepted
    2. Check - see details below
    3. Bank Transfer - Click here for more info.

How to Apply

Steps In The Application Process

1 If you will be a first time (first semester) student you need to fill out an application and have three reference forms completed.
If you are currently attending another CCBC campus, please complete a continuing student application.  You may request one from your extension campus registrar.  For these, or other forms, please click the link at the bottom of this page.

2 Send your completed application, reference forms, and $25 application fee to:

CCBCE
Petőfi ut. 562
7041 Vajta, Hungary

3 Once we receive the application materials you will usually receive a decision within a month. This notification comes by a letter in the mail or by an email if time is short before the semester begins. Because of the time required to process an application and to make certain that housing accommodations can be made, we request that you submit your applications no later than SIX weeks prior to the semester's beginning. However, we will accept a "late application" on a case-by-case space-available basis.

The Admissions decision is made on the following basis:

(see application forms below)
1 Spiritual Maturity: Information contained in the application, including the student's Personal Profile Sketch, Spiritual Life Profile, and Statement of Faith. The most important aspect is that the student has a heart to seek the Lord and a desire to grow.

2 Personal References: Recommendations from three sources, one of which must be a pastor.

3 Academic Preparedness: Evidence of completion of high school, a G.E.D. program, or proficiency exam. PLEASE NOTE: All classes will be taught only in English and/or Hungarian.

4 If you are accepted you will receive an acceptance letter, visa information, and class & book list. You will need to send a 200 euro non-refundable deposit. This reserves a place at CCBCE and confirms to us your intention to attend. This 200 euro deposit will be applied to your overall tuition cost.

5 Once accepted you should make flight reservations as soon as possible.

Transfer Students
Transfer students from Murrieta or other Bible college extension campuses should arrange to have their transcripts, and related files, faxed or mailed to us from the registrar's office as soon as possible, prior to the beginning of the semester. It is the policy of CCBCE to accept ALL transfer students who are in good standing. However, we reserve to the right to accept or reject any student on a case-by-case basis. Students from CCBC Murrieta should see the Extension Campus Coordinator about signing up with a group.

Correspondence Program
Calvary Chapel Bible College Europe offers a program of study for those individuals that want to grow in the knowledge of God's Word, but for whatever personal reasons are unable to leave their current situation to attend college full time.

Though it is technically possible to complete all the requirements for graduation via the correspondence program, it is not recommended. CCBCE's correspondence program is designed for those wanting to take a few courses for personal benefit, or to make up some lacking credits or specific courses for graduation.

We highly recommend that a student attends at least one or two semesters on campus. Much of the spiritual learning takes place out of the classroom in the cross-cultural experiences of living in a foreign country; living with other people from various backgrounds; and participating in outreach mission trips which are given each semester. There is a unique spiritual dynamic that takes place when people gather together in one place to seek God and His will for their lives.
How To Enroll And Register For Classes
  • Fill out a Correspondence Program Application.
  • Choose the classes that you wish to take. Enter these on the registration part of the application.
  • Calculate the tuition owed by multiplying the total number of credit hours you are taking.
  • Mail to us:
    • Your completed application and class choices.
    • A check for your tuition based on the previous calculation, plus the $25 application fee. Or fax your credit card info to us.
  • You will be considered as "accepted, registered and enrolled" when we receive payment and your application.
  • We will mail or email to you:
    • Class access information.
    • A confirmation of your semester start and end date.
Students Requirements
  • The correspondence program is designed for the student that can study independently. The student must be a self-starter, motivated and well organized in order to stay on track with the classes.
  • All assignments are to be completed by the student without the help of others. It is assumed that the student will act with integrity and all honor by doing his or her own work without cheating, copying or having others doing the work.
  • The student will receive a class syllabus. It will contain.....
    • An explanation of all the assignments that are required and the due dates for those assignments.
    • The name and email address of the class overseer who will grade the work. Any questions and all work will be directed to that person.
    • A list any text books that are to be purchased and read.
  • All course work must be received on the due dates given in the class syllabus. Any final work must be received by the last day of the 4th month. Work received after that last day will not be accepted.

How much money should I bring and how will I obtain more money there?
It is difficult to determine how much you will need as everyone lives differently. But some things to consider are:
Laundry costs: about $4 per load.
Internet costs: $2 per hour (but gmail email accounts are free to use).
You may want to purchase coffee and pastries and candy in the coffee bar.
Weekend travel costs will depend on how often and how far you go.
Outreaches costs vary widely. If you choose an outreach to Africa the costs could be over $1,000. If you choose an outreach nearby your costs could be $150 - $175. You should plan on a minimum of $300 for your 10 day outreach.
Weekend outreaches costs also vary. $50 should be enough for an average weekend outreach. You will have an oportunity to go on more than one weekend outreach. That choice will be yours to make.
Do not bring Traveler's Checks. They do not work here. An ATM card is very useful for getting cash.
The closest ATM bank machines are about 10 minutes walk (post office) or 30 minutes away by bus. Students are encouraged to use the ATM machine to get money from home. Money from the ATMs will be given in Hungarian Forints. Students will be able to get money from their ATM accounts at least 3 times a week.

Do I have to bring a laptop?
Laptops are encouraged but not required. We have 14 computers available for study and 4 computers in our Internet Cafe. The study computers are free to use, the Internet Cafe computers require purchasing time codes, except for use with gmail email accounts (they are free!).

If I bring a laptop do I need to bring any special equipment for the internet?
You will need a wireless card to connect to the internet through our Internet Cafe. You will still need to purchase an internet time code to access the internet but you can use your own computer to do so. You will not need an internet time code for gmail email accounts.

Will I have email?
Through our Internet Cafe you will have access to your web based email (such as hotmail or yahoo, etc.)

Can I get a Hungarian visa while I am in Hungary?
Yes, possibly. Contact visas@ccbce.com.

How old to I have to be to attend?
You need to be a high school graduate.

Top of Page

Can non-Americans attend your school?
Yes, we only teach in English and Hungarian though.

Can I attend only one semester?

Do I need to bring sheets, pillows or towels?
Towel yes, linens no.

How will I know that my child arrived safely?
Have your child call you as soon as they arrive. If they are coming on one of our designated arrival days they should have time to call you from the airport, or once they arrive here at the campus. Upon arrival here they can purchase a phone card from our Coffee Bar and use our Voice over IP phone to call you. Our calling card costs are low as we use a Voip system. All our phones may be busy for awhile as so many people call home as soon as they arrive.
They can email you as soon as they arrive also with a purchase of an internet time code from the coffee bar. If they are going to arrive here, at the Bible College too late for the our Coffee Bar to be open ( after 10:30pm) they should plan on calling you from the airport.
If your child does not call you, please feel free to email the ccbce office ccbce@ccbce.com to ask about them.
It is not uncommon for a person to forget to call home after that long traveling day.

Do I need immunizations to come to Hungary?
No.

Is the water safe to drink?
Yes.

Do I need a power converter or plug adaptor?
If you bring electronic items such as a blow dryer, the electric current here is 230. Converters and adaptors can be purchased at any Radio Shack. You will need an adaptor but not a converter for your laptop. We do sell converters (we have only a few) and adaptors (we have a lot) in the coffee bar.
The converter changes the electricity to match your appliance, the adaptor slips over your plug and makes it fit in the electrical sockets here.

Should I bring Travelers Checks?
Do not bring Travelers Checks, they are not used here.

Top of Page

Should I bring a calling card?
You can purchase a calling card from our coffee bar for a very low cost due to our use of a Voip system.

Can a parent pay money for a students internet or phone usage?
Not directly, but you can put money into your student's bank account and they can pull it out in Hungary using their ATM card and pay for more time through the Coffee Bar. That way you can put in as much (or as little) money you would like them to have access to.
