Using PayPal

Here are some PayPal examples showing many different ways you can use PayPal to take donations to help your ministry.

There is a great need now to support our ministries. Many times we fail when we do not give others a chance to actively join us. Below are some ways you can accept donations for your ministry. Adding these to your webpage is easy.

Here are some samples of what can be done with creative use of the PayPal buttons and links.

These are only samples, it is safe to try them out but when you get redirected to the PayPal page don't enter your credit card info. (unless you really want to make a donation : )

Give them a try.

First Sample:

Web Design and Consulting

Here is a donate one, with changed button and a drop-down box to choose your amount:
Donation Amounts

This one is for donations too, with text box to write in purpose:
Enter Donation Purpose:

Here is a straight forward donation one:

And here are some examples of text links. Again, it is safe to click the links, just don't fill in your credit card info unless you really feel inspired : )

"We once again are out of the Hungarian Bibles we have been giving away. Lori gave out the last one at the Vajta Festival. If you would like to help us out click here and choose how many you would like to donate. If you are thinking you would like to help out our ministry in some other way, click here and fill in how you would like us to use the money."

To create the text links:

  • Log in to your PayPal account
  • Click Merchant Services
  • Create a simple button
  • Then on the page where the code is generated click on the "Email" tab
  • Copy that and use that as your link for your webpage. This will only work for simple buttons.
To use some of the styles of Donation Requests above:
  • Create a "Products" or "Service" button, using any of the options you want
  • Copy the code and place it where you want it
  • Generate another button and choose "Donate"
  • Click the option for either the large or small "Donation" button
  • Then right click on the "Donation" button you want to use and save it to your computer
  • Upload it to your website and copy the address of where you uploaded it
  • Go to the code of the form you created
  • Find this line:
    <input type="image" src="/" border="0" name="submit" alt="PayPal - The safer, easier way to pay online!">
  • Replace: with the full path to the donation button you have uploaded to your website.
  • You can also change the alt text for each button: "PayPal - The safer, easier way to pay online" to whatever you want to say.
